@Big Poppa – it was 38 days, and not a real record at that. Paul Attalla rode the route in less than half of that this year. I suppose we should record that here, as well.

uummm, is there an official self-supported across america record…..

why not add Jay P’s solo self support RAAM record from 2011 to the list. I am planning a loosely organized self supported RAAM route race for 6/2013 for those interested in going after Jay’s record (or setting the woman’s self support record)

Also new female joint record for the Grand Loop.

Updated Iditarod southern route to Nome, as in JayP’s post.

I think self supported RAAM does make sense here. Great idea on a race on the route.

Hi Scott – the Freedom Challenge Men’s record was smashed this year with the 2 top riders, Martin Dreyer & Alex Harris racing hard all the way to the line. New record below:

Alex finished just 7h behind Martin, also with a sub-11 day time (by 3 mins!).

Updated new Tour Divide records, both men’s and women’s, Ollie Whalley and Eszter Horanyi, both set during the 2012 event. Also eliminated the US Only GDMBR record, since those were both shattered by Whalley and Horanyi — they hold both records.
