Is the CFITT doable on a LHT? Or would I be better off on a MTB with semi-slicks?

I would encourage anyone interested in doing the CFiTT route to use an MTB as some of the Forest Roads are Sandy and skinny tires would leave you sinking.

Its all pretty rideable, there is a section or two that are tough, and the drangons tail road aka forest road 599 gets sandy if it sees lots of car traffic near the top of the climbs but thats less than 1% of the course.

Got it, thanks. Not a bikepacking race per se, but neither is TI. They are more than 100 miles and not lap races.
