Why doesn't this make sense?  You can't tell me only one finished in 2010.  And, I am guessing the times listed are from MT and not in Canada.

Thanks for your time, Ty

You're looking at info from the Great Divide Race.

Could you please explain the difference?  When is the "Tour Divide" start?  I see the Great Divide starts next Friday.

The TD starts in Bandf, CA on the 10th, and the GD starts in MT on the 17th.  Are these two different races that simply overlap?

I am guessing starting in CA is the "main one."

These are 2 different races. Tour Divide adds in a Canadian section. I wouldn't say that one is any more "main" than the other. They both require equally large amounts of determination.

Yes, I do not make light of either one.  Was just confused about the race most guys in this forum are discussing.     Since I posted the question, I have been doing a bit of google-ing.    It seems most rules seem exactly the same in regards to self-sustainment racing.  But, I came across where cell phones are allowed on the TD; unless I miss-read.  While the GD does not allow cell communication.

Ok, I got it.  Re-read the rules on the tourdivide page.  Thanks all.  And GOOD LUCK to all riding in a couple days.
