TD13 - Three calls from Billy Rice as he started his NoBo on the GDMBR this weekend! He called from his start and from Silver City where he got some wheel work done!

Here is my gear list on our trike tours website. I am trying to reduce the gear list further anyone have any suggestions.

Here is our company report about my TDR 2013 attempt.

I don't think your gear list should differ too much from the standard list. I like this video from your site: http://www.kmxus.com/video-1vH7NSFxyPs.html
If you can complete the TD on a trike, then you the man!

Interesting. I'd like to see how you're gonna get your trike and gear up the singletrack connector at the bottom of Galton pass, let alone through the snow of Canada/ Northern Montana. I wish you a good time and good luck. Be safe!

You could lose 2.5# by going with a different rain shell and insulation layer. Are you committed to those two pieces in particular?

Will be fun to watch you kill it out there on a trike. I still get a laugh out of bikesnob's description of "Contraption Captains" on recumbents -- I think you'll appreciate the all-in-good-fun humor Smiley

Well, we've had single-speeds, fixies, and a tandem.

The Google Docs start list has a couple that state they aren't doing the Canada section.  Can't hardly say you are in for the Tour Divide start list if you plan to leave out Canada.  Pretty hard to stay on the mapped route if leave out a whole country.

TD13 - Billy Rice called in from near Grants. He’s geared up and hopes to have enough gear to get him to Salida!

When you're at MTBCast to listen to the podcast, click on Home.  At that page, you'll see the free number to call with reports.  Right next to the Donate to support MTBCast button ... Important!

I'm planning on sending some stickers up to the start. Unfortunately, I won't be going up this year after all. The stickers have the number on it but it is on the website Home page as well. 888-866-4491.

Each voicemail can be 3 minutes long before you're cut off. If you need to say more just call back. If you get cutoff for some reason (bad connection) just call back and I can put them together.

I encourage people to call in as often as they want. I will get them posted as timely as I can. I think it's a good way for people connect with the race. The new theme is mobile aware and I'm using an HTML5 player so it works on iPhone and Android devices.

yeah last July I ran into one of the unicycle guys on his way up Fleecer...on my way down. Surprised the hell out of me, although he didn't seem shocked as I had been randomly shouting and singing just before we crossed paths
