I saw the  2-hour Tour Divide Documentary on the “Documentary Channel" last night.  Props to those in that endeavor!  It was interesting and great to see some familiar faces.  I can't wait to see it again!  That makes me think a lot about

Hello,

is anybody out there who has the entire TD route tracked? I have already downloaded the GPS-Track from the ACA webside, but there are no elevation data tracked. For me the elevation data is the most important thing of the route. I plan to start 2012 the TD race and I am slowly starting with some smaller preparations.
The more unsecure way for me would be to download the data from the USGS webpage and add it to a scanned and calibrated map. It's not, because I want avoid the work, but in the past I made some really bad expirience with this kind of data from the USGS side, especially in the US where the data are more precise than here in Europe.
I would appreciate your help!
Thank you!

                Best regards from Germany

Michael --

Have a look here, this data has elevation data as well:

There is one file specific to TD that includes the paved detours in New Mexico.

Speaking of which, we're doing a Ride the Divide showing (with Salsa Cycles, woot!) on Los Angeles in 10/23. It's a Livestrong fundraiser. ALL proceeds to go fight cancer. Come on down, all you LA area Bikepacking.net folks! It'd be cool meet you. Smiley
