Forecast yesterday looked gloomy but it looks to be improving with sun on Friday and Saturday. I think it depends what weather site you are looking at. I like to go to pollyanna weather.com! Wink

Every time I look it is different! Yesterday on some site it was 90% rain on Friday.

I would feel cheated somehow though if there wasn't some good knee deep mud somewhere and maybe some snow storms. And of course 10 miles of snowshoeing. Followed by fires, smoke and 110F temps. Super nice in Colorado now....however and it doesn't seem to be changing any time soon.

I clicked on the "Leaderboard" tab over on tourdivde and noticed 85 racers on showing up.

I see Kurt & Caroline are listed as 1 line. Does that mean we have another tandem team going this year?
Oh, setup picture, please.

I thought that the tandem record would be safe for years, but maybe not.

And they are on a salsa tandem. A stretched el mar? Looks pretty cool.

Last year in Antellope Wells we had a nice evening together before the race at the home of one of the customs agents chilling out, eating, drinking and watching a basketball game. A great way to meet the other riders before they all vanished the next morning.

Is there any plan for something similar in Banff? Perhaps meet at a bar/restaurant?

In the past there has been a barbeque the night before the race in the park, put on by a local bike shop. With so many starters this year who knows?  We could all head to the elk and oarsman pub for a couple of pints ;-)

Another tandem! Great! :-)

Perhaps I should start drinking again, get hammered, feel like poop at the start of the race, since that will probably be my fate for as long as I am in it!  occasion14

Any further reports on snow conditions in the Canadian passes?  Not that it matters - it'll be what it'll be.  Thanks!

Looking forward to meeting everyone in Banff. We're in Vancouver. Visiting friends and heading toward town. Getting excited now and just want to get started.

I am in need of a very specific headset for the new El Mariachi Ti.  I am having a really hard time finding one, and finding one on time!  It is a cane creek headset.

Upper:  ZS44/28.6
Lower:  Zs44/30

If you know of a place that has one let me know ASAP
