Hey all you TDR junkies,

Anybody out there thinking about a start in Banff next June? It has been on my mind for some time; been doing some bikepacking and dreaming about a TDR start next year.

If all the stars align, and maybe even if they don't, I'll be there!

Hi Georg,
Good to hear that you'll be there too! Maybe we could hook up sometime for some TDR style training?

HI out there in Germany,

mental wise I will ride TDR just like the last five years, but I do not know, if I make it to the real start next summer ... Perhaps it is just an other year of racing at home the www.Grenzsteintrophy.de

Cheers!

Hi all.  I'll be there at the start next June.  I've been planning this for nearly two years...I think my wife will be pleased when it's over!  Currently planning on racing singlespeed, but will make a final call nearer the time.

I am in to finish this and have been continuing to build after my 760 miles on the TD this summer.  At this point, I am back to where I was in March of this year, so 6 months ahead.

I will not be making the Grand Depart.  My plan is to watch the weather through the winter.  I am currently considering an early, 28 May, NOBO ride or a late, end / mid August, SOBO ride.

In case you were wondering about the winter weather it looks like the pattern is the same as this past winter.  Loads of snow, which will equate to similar re-routes that we had this year.  http://www.adventure-journal.com/2011/09/la-nina-is-back-for-another-round/

yesterday I booked the flights (open jaw flights) from europe to calgary and back from phoenix to europe (july 7th). my wife is also happy when this event will start, and more happy when it's over :-)

I myself, can't await it.

As a preparation, I plan to do GST in Germany, though I do not really get enough days off from work, actually.

Hey Georg,

Will you be starting in the Grand Depart on the 8th of June? Or are you doing an ITT?

Will see what the canadian/montanarian winter and spring will offer us ...

Is the june 8th date set in stone for the grand depart or could this possibly change?  I want to book flights but I also don't want to pick the wrong date.
