TD Vets, talk to me why you decided to to TD more than one time?  After finishing this year in 29 days, as a 60 yr old, the itch is back to head to Banff in June to do it again.  There was never a time this year when I wanted to quit.  I did have neck soreness, but after a massage in Lincoln, it went away, maybe gained some neck strength.  I have the gear, just make a few adjustments, a tent this time, not a bivy for 1.

Did you do it again to try and beat your PR, or go to enjoy it more the next time?  Riding 5-6 mph for hours does get old, I'll admit.  Sometimes I'd wonder if I was going to finish.  I made some great friends along the way, and Trail Magic does exist.

Thanks for the comments,

I want to do it again. Tried in '14 and dropped out and that ate at me for a year. Didn't have any thoughts of quitting this year, it was just a matter of pushing on through it.  Hope to shave a few days off my time ... it's a pretty infectious thing, something about being outside all that time with the sun and the wind on you and knowing you are doing something that is just so out of the ordinary for so many people. Not a bad way to spend a few weeks in the summer !

I might be heading back in 2016. Finished 2014. The weather was terrible, I want to see it with nice weather and to push more. I played it safe more or less, mostly because of the weather that first week.
