Dear TD fans,

I'm a spectator, curious about the route.
The TD site route description says the route has 200,000 feet of vertical.
Does that mean 200,000 feet up?
Or does it mean 100,000 feet up and 100,000 feet down?

Thanks,
-- LoA

200k up and roughly the same down.  The border with Mexico is actually higher than Banff, so there are a couple thousand feet more climbing than descending.

The actual figure is debatable (the longer the route, the more error skews a sum)... but somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 is generally accepted.

Suffice it to say, there's a lot of climbing.  Cheesy

Huh on the map it looks like it's all down hill.
