Jesse Jakomait did a 12:18 a couple years ago. I knew I shouldn't have lollygagged in salt creek in '06, darn that creek is a magnet when it's hot!

Lynda Wallenfels rode a 15:03.

Reba has timed her run perfectly. When I saw her La Sal pics from a week ago (a scouting mission) and looked at the forecast it screamed hero dirt. Great weather window from this armchair too although it is always hot from WW to the finish.

Reba is flying! 6:31 to Dewey, I'd have to say she's on track for a 13 hour and change run. Lots of doing to get done, but she is going mach 10.

Here's the original listing for the final KTR where Lynda set the current record: http://forums.mtbr.com/endurance-xc-racing/2006-ktr-results-191723.html

Perhaps more than a lot of routes, trail conditions really affect how fast one can ride Kokopelli's. I happened to ride it the same day that Jesse set his record. We had ideal conditions. It had rained hard a couple of days earlier, and there was almost no sand--and just a few small patches of mud in the La Sals. The following year, it was much drier and hotter, and the sand was brutal. Heat is also a pretty big factor, especially with so little water availability. The second year, I needed a LOT more water then the first time--but didn't realize it, so I ended up struggling with dehydration-induced weakness for a few hours.

She did it.  I'm not sure what her official time is but it looks like she finished under 14 hours.  Very impressive.

I just got a call from someone at the finish saying time was 13:29.

Daaaaaamn that is fast! She'd have been 2nd overall at the last official KTR with that time.

For a TT? Depends on the rider.

Anywhere between 12 and 30 hours is pretty common.
