The photos are breathtaking.  I gotta put this one on my list and start brushing up on my German.

I'm watching the Navad 1000 Live Tracking every hour or so. The website is always open in the background.

I'm especially looking for three buddies I know. Hampe Ryf, Heinz Fruhwirth and of course Michael too. Hope the rain will stop now and the weather will be a little nicer to the participants.

The closest point of the race course is about 20miles away from my home. I hope I can visit the course and meet some rider and install some "trail magic" for the riders.... occasion14

Me too! I've been checking the leaderboard all day. Looks like some really brutal climbs in there and the fun is about to start for Michael. At last check he was almost at the Napf Hut.

Well the first three racers have finished; 1st was a guy named Christian Jakob, a Swiss, he finished in a time of 5days, 5hours and 8 minutes! That's like 200 km and 6000 meters of climbing a day! Yikes! Sämi Burkart and Reto Koller, were second and third, also with a very fast time; 5:15:29. They are both two time TDR finishers BTW.

This one is a brute, I'm sure what the trails are like, how much HAB or how much pavement but man its got a ton of climbing in such a "short" distance.

The Navad-1000 2016 in Switzerland will start June 18.
You can now Register for the 2nd Edition of the Navad-1000. You should not wait too long to get one of 99 places.
