I swore I was one and done, but every year, I find myself yearning a little bit more to make my way back to Banff. I also considered volunteering at Brush Mountain Lodge just to keep the yearning at bay

Me too. "One and done" yet every year I want to be there. But there are just too many other adventures to scratch off the list. But I still want to be out there, but I was lucky enough to experience the whole beautiful route, at least that what I remind myself.

HughieP, thanks for digging this thread out of the archives. Comming up on the three year anniversary since my Divide ride. Toughest thing I've ever done physically as well as mentally. But I miss being out there so damn much.

I would love to be out there, not racing it, but doing a supported tour of the best parts.... 40 to 50 miles a day would be lovely without the abuse and risk of falling apart physically. More a stop and smell the flowers tour, not race. Being old and slow has it's limits. But I for sure would build a  hard tail, most likely geared 3 x 9 29'er.

Adventure Cycling....fully supported tour....this month.

I was miserable for at least 25 of 31 days, but now I want to race it instead of meander. :/
