Forgive if I have missed it in my searches but I was looking for a thread on the 2014 Coconino Stage Race and I have yet to turn up anything beyond past races.  Is there a current thread?

Kind of a last minute thought of doing it this year and scrounging for information....

thanks in advance

It looked like there was a small turn out for this one last year. I am not sure why, it is a great route. I did a tour of the route last year. Plenty of great singletrack. Tim (aka AZTtripper) is one of the creators of this route I believe.  You could try messaging him.

Not one of the creators just friend's with them. I have done the course a couple of times though and I did the Flagstone route, starts the same, last year.

The Coco seems to always get a few riders for the stage race, as well as being toured a few times as well. Just doesn't seem to get the same kind of attention as the AZT300 and the CTR.

Logistics are actually easier on this loop then the big thru races. I don't think there's that much to discuss most seem to be able to put it all together. I know it's been done as a first bike packing trip.

If you have any specific questions post up I'll do my best to help.

Hey all,

I think I'm going to do the ride this year as a thru ride this year rather than the stages and go for 3 days.  If I make it happen I will leave at the same day and time of the other riders.

I did the stage race 3 or 4 years ago and had a great time.  I live in Flagstaff and many of the riders stayed at my place.  I can host some out of town folks this year when I confirm I'm in.  Plenty of floor space and a couch.  My place is about 2 miles from the start.  When I confirm I can post my phone number and email address.

Weather is good here this time of year normally with nice days and cold nights.  Wish we had more Flagstaff riders do this event.

A group of us are ITT-ing in 3-weeks.

We've gotten out schedule down and rooms booked. Sounds like a great route from what I've seen.

I'm planning on doing this as well this year for the first time. Coming up from the Scottsdale area if anyone  needs/wants to carpool.

I am definitely considering coming back and doing this loop again if it works out with my work schedule.  When I toured the route with my friend in April of last year I did not get to ride the singletrack between Williams and Flagstaff because of bike problems.  It would be nice to come back and ride this route again the right way.    occasion14

Does anyone know where the 350 mile route GPX is located?  I have never seen that one.

Hoping to do this route as well.  Not sure if I can handle 60 mile days, but I'd like to try.  Endurance isn't a huge issue, but neck pain is.  Hopefully I get over this flu/cold thing and I can try a shorter stem and get out and do some training rides.

I live in Flag as well.  No idea if I could host any out-of-town riders as I don't know where I'll be living in October - I'm still looking for a new place.
