Glad somebody's using MTB cast. Just listened to a few of Justin's (Justin Smith), they were good to hear. He was a good dude to roll up to the start of the AZTR with.... then get dropped by lol.

Bummed to listen to Justin Dubois' scratch call Sad

Also curious to hear about Kerkove's scratch sure seemed like he mida had it this year finally!

Congratulations to Timon!

Per CTR FB group, Jeff had bad baby rash and tendinitis in both knees. Sucks to hear. Awesome race by all the participants though.

Definitely NOT the first SS winner... see Kevin Thomas 2011.  I'm also pretty sure Jefe has won more than once SS, but could be mistaken.

What a great race so far!  Impressed by this Timon guy, I love seeing new folks come in and crush it!

Thanks for the fact check Joey 👍

Went up to see Jefe finish last night.  Very lucid, in excellent spirits, finishing up his 8th CTR!  Rachael had brought him a pizza and tacos... that didn't last long.  Smiley

Wonder if Dana's tracker is weird or if he's actually bailing down Maggie Gulch so close to Stony Pass?  Maybe whatever wheel repair he had done in Lake City didn't last... hoping it's just a tracking error!

RE: Dana - he's back on the trail, so unless he decided to lose a thousand feet just for fun, it was just a tracking error.  Wink

Wow, this is an extremely close women's race.  Top 4 all within striking distance.  Tonight will quite possibly decide it...

WOW what a race! Would love to know what gear ratios the SS winners have won using.

Word is her hub blew up -- not rollable -- walked 13 miles but eventually gave in and called for a ride.  Such bad luck for so close to the finish!

There was a photographer/freelance journalist on the course this year.  I talked to him a few times but don't recall his name, super nice guy.

Anyone have any info and if/where/when his work might be published?

Was it a journalist from Mountain Flyer?  Maybe worth checking in with them?

By the way - nice ride out there!

I’m guessing the man you’re looking for is Eddie Clark if you didn’t track him down already. Had the pleasure of meeting him around Cochetopa Pass one night on TD this year and again in Del Norte and on Indiana Pass the next day. Good dude!
