Trackleaders only shows 24 riders (4 of which are ITT, so only 20 for GD) for the CTR, with only a week to go.  Is the list just not updated or is the number of riders down this year?  Of course, there are always last minute racers.

+1, no spot for me this year.

I just updated it (manual process), but numbers are still lower than last year.  There will be last minute folk, I'm sure.

Just another reminder - Please DONATE to the Colorado Trail Foundation!  It is extremely important to this race since they maintain the CT.  If you donated, please post that on this forum.  And when you donate, please mention in the comment section something to the effect that you mountain bike the CT or are doing the CTR so they know mountain bikers are supporting their organization.  The CTF stood up for mtbers in the last fight over trail access on the CT so we need to support them.

Well said.

Well even though I'm poor as fu*k (no real better way of say'n it), I contributed $25. Hope it can bring good luck i.e. no broken fork for this years CTR! Also the databook is rad, love the Bike detours map. Still looking for a ride. Hit me up. 847-921-0008

Hey.

I think I’m going to do a one-way rental from the finish back to my car in Durango.  In case any of you find yourself at the finish around the same time as me and need to go back that way, find me and we can split the cost.  My phone is 541 390 9629

By 10am today, the storms were already blowing up big over the La Platas... everyone better bring their best rain gear!  If the weather pattern we've had here the last week continues, it's gonna be a wet CTR.  How's the monsoon stacking up in the rest of the state?

Bring it on - we sure need it.

Gave CT $100.00, plus $50.00 for old map  book.  Did this before I knew to mention mountain biking in the subject, but there's a good chance Bill Manning is watching anyway.

$75 from me. I would contribute more but we have had some unexpected hospital bills this year.

We've had monsoons every night for 2 weeks on the front range. Some fire bans are even being lifted over here. Hero dirt nearly every day!

Hey Everyone,

A few things here from a first time poster and CTR newbie. First of all, I donated $50 to CTF today. Maybe a bit weak, but at least I'm doing my part.

Second, Toby Gadd was nice enough to give me his "Distances and Services" sheet referenced in his blog. I have reversed the course, checked the mileage against the new CT Databook with the new detours, and got permission from Toby to share it here.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Auo-YhxH18-ddDlQU1hQTHhVeW9CU05mZHU2dUYxTlE#gid=0

Anyone can edit this version, so please don't change anything unless you see an error or have information to add. It would be great if people were able to contribute to this (services available, latest open/close times, etc). This is a big help to those of us who haven't done this thing before!

See you all soon and very early.

Oh man...was on 10 mile yesterday at 5....(perfect I know), got hammered by one of the biggest monsoon squalls I have ever experienced. Lets just say it was a good test of kit.....

Sweet.  When someone comes up with a lightning-diversion piece of kit, let me know.  Getting wet I don't mind so much... it's the electrocuted part that disturbs me.

+ 1 for the CTR, no SPOT

Also, looking for any creative/convoluted rideshare options from Fort Collins to Durango for myself and my girlfriend (also doing the race). Ideally, we would leave around 8am on Saturday 7/20 to get there in time to relax before the race. We're also willing to leave Friday night if that works better for you.

Option 1: Drive my 5sp manual Subaru Forester. We have room for you AND your designated driver to get my car back to Fort Collins. Your designated driver can rally it all over SW Colorado for up to two weeks as long as they bring it back to Fort Collins.

Option 2: Are you already driving your vehicle to Durango? We'll pay for ALL your gas to Durango and buy you some good beer (to be consumed after the drive) if you let us tag along.

Option 3: Are you, or someone you love, in Durango but want to be in Fort Collins? Drive my car back to Fort Collins.

Hey, is there anyone in Denver driving down via 285 to Durango. Still looking for a pick up from Gunnison. Maybe I could find a way to Salida for convenience. Please PM me or hit me up on the cell - 847-921-0008

Really don't want to miss the race.  BangHead
