Mark Caminiti called in from Sargents. And Eric Foster called in from Buena Vista.

Wow, both their bikes and themselves are amazingly clean.  Almost hard to believe they could have hit any rain with how clean the bikes are.

Mad congrats to them.  Brilliant riding by both, and congrats to Jefe on another win and stupid fast time!  How he can keep riding with so little sleep is beyond me.

Thanks for the amazing show.

Jefe answers the sleep question at the finish.  Jefe, how many hours overall did you sleep?  "Ummm, probably about 4 hours total."

Wow. That's insane. I would have been so dang grumpy. Congrats and a massive amount of respect to the finishers (and all the other dots)!

Has anyone else noticed that Sergeant’s Mesa is a Spot dead-zone? Either that or Jerry Oliver, Mark Caniniti and Long Ranger have quit the race to form an acapella quartet with the Irish Amish lady. :-)

Given what I have heard about Sargeant's Mesa you might not be too far off base  icon_biggrin

Jefe came in at 814am.  Jesse was about an 45-60 mins after that....they both immediately sat down in the parking lot (off their bikes) and hung their head in hands.  Believe it or not they were all smiles, despite looking a wee bit "weathered and unkept"...super humble and appreciative of the small crowd that gathered (3 people only)....there even was a cowbell...ive got some cool videos to load up here of each of them crossing near wadsworth...such a treat to see these guys after following them the last couple days....their stories were almost otherworldly...and Jefe's Mom was there (breathing a deep sigh of relief and offering up drinks, beer, food etc.....)

Wow, Congrats to Jefe!!!  I am amazed at both Jefe and Jesse for putting on such a show for us couch potatoes!  What they accomplished (and still have smiles on faces!?!) is simply beyond my comprehension.  It was quite an epic race between the two of them, battling from start to finish, which should go down as one of the best CTR races ever.  I still can't believe they finished in 4 days, 4-5 hours, despite adding 50+ miles and thousands of feet of climbing!  Way to go to both of them!!

Wow.... Super human effort. So, so very impressive on many levels. Major congratulations to JJ and JB. and....friggen crazy stuff you two just pulled off.  AND all the other blue dots that will continue to suffer and deal with the CTR on a very personal level.  Having not raced the CTR I do not understand the nights, extreme elements, the gnarly terrain and most of all the unworldly sights and maybe even hallucinations? . Thanks to all the racers for making the 2013 CTR such an impressive show of racing on the rooftop of North America. All you CT Racers are super stars. Good luck and God speed to all the racers still on course. YOU ALL ROCK ! thumbsup

their stories of riding last night and the night before were something else...falling asleep while on the bike on trail on dirt roads, waking up drifting across the road.......Jefe commented to jesse about needing to sleep so he hops off the bike sleeps for 10 minutes.  Jesse laughs uncontrollably and says "who the hell does that, sleeps for 10 minutes.  They were a wee bit delirious to say the least

There are photos of many mid to late pack racers in my photo bucked that I uploaded earlier, didn't want to overdo with pics because I got a lot of different racers out there in various stages of the event: http://s1349.photobucket.com/user/ajakomait/library/?sort=2&src=pb&page=1

Tour Divide blew my mind. CTR just blew it further.

These rides are out of this world. Huge congrats to Jesse and Jefe! It was a wicked fun race to watch!

WR Will and BS Brue who are riding together just went off route! Brues tracker isn't updating but Wills is saying off route. I hope they just made a wrong turn and figure it out. (Or the tracker itself is having problems!)

looks like they missed their turn off the road to get back on the trial.... enjoying the road riding a little too much I guess.
