I haven't noticed any posts regarding the Comstock Epic. This year a group of us will be heading out on Friday 6/10. I'm looking forward to some dry conditions this year. http://www.transnevadatrail.com/comstock-epic-route-details
Trevor has been busy putting together some interesting routes. Check out transnevadatrail.com

Great to see you in the mix Sean. I'm doing the full pull, way over my head, but  gonna crawl to CA/NV border if needed.

Thanks to Trevor and Ted for their hard work on the route. I had a great time. I know it got hectic towards the start but don't let that get you down. Still folks out there, hard men for sure.
Congrats to Neil B for killing it. I only did the 300 version and came into the course a few hours behind him. Figured I'd at least see him somewhere.
Nope.
Saw his lights in the distance and that was as close as I came. Impressive to say the least. I had a nice ride going but crashed hard towards the end. Exploded my GPS and ended up walking a lot of the climbs the last 25 miles as my knee was killing me.
Still. all in all a great 36 hours of my life.

What happened to the Commstock Epic / Transnevada website ... it appears to be no longer online ...?

Was interested in doing the Comstock Race this year and was wondering if anyone had a contact email to the site so I can access the GPX file. Also, any group start date/time planned?

Thanks in advance, Jeff

Last I heard it wasn't happening as an official event. I have the GPX but I'm not sure Trevor wants it out there so I'll keep it to myself until I know otherwise. I'm sure someone else will chime in on the subject.

Cut-and-paste from an email I received recently:

FYI:
I wanted to get this out there as soon as possible. The 2017 Comstock EPIC has been officially cancelled.
Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm for this race.
Regards,
Trevor Oxborrow

I'm sure the route itself is free to ride/explore/bikepack at anytime, by anyone.  How to get your hands on the GPX, I don't know.  You could just make your own, though.

I received the same email. I asked why, but have yet to receive a response from Trevor. I'd like to do an ITT on the route if it's ok with the organizer.

I rode it, so you can steal the GPX off my Strava.

This race has so much potential and seems like a great way to see some serious outback that rarely gets visits. Anyone know why so much of the information and website surrounding the race was taken down. Shame. Anyone else up for coordinating a start on or even a bit later on this route from the Eastern border - West?
