The 2020 .gpx is up!     https://ridewithgps.com/trips/52238734

DUE TO WYOMING COVID REGULATIONS, REGISTRATION WILL BE CAPPED AT 50 (subject to change

This is a remote and beautiful course for single track experts.  275 miles and 35k of climbing, easy gears highly recommended.
The route travels from Buffalo, Wyoming to Big Horn, Wyoming, which is 30 road miles from the start.  After many years of scouting, there is just
not a worthwhile way to completely finish the loop.  To be sure, the loop could be completed by singletrack through the Proposed Rock Creek Wilderness,
but it is much too heinous.  Far better to spin the final 30 miles on the road and not on the clock.

Hey Aaron, any changes to the route for this year?   If I find myself that far north this summer with some free time I might give it a go.

I don't think that will happen around grand depart time.  Any disadvantage, such as thunderstorms, to an ITT in August?  I do recall reading about nasty mud in Erin's TR.

Hey evdog, no changes this year and no grand depart.  August is a good time to itt.  It could be hot, and plenty of bad mud if it rains, but the part where Erin experienced mud has been removed.  I think the route gets a little better every year. I have not previewed whole course this year, but as much as possible the route follows well maintained trails.  The FS got some key trails cleared last summer, and some more this summer, so I am excited to put a route together for 2022 which will have some good improvements.  Let me know if any other q's.
