I like Friday.  The Friday start date is a big part of why I can do this race.  Minimal time off work.  With travel on each end it is still 3 days off work.

I would be game for an ITT start of Thursday. Let me know if that is an option. Thanks.

It's definitely an option, and always has been.

In minimum, I'll do a little more to encourage some Thursday ITT starts, so I bet you'll have some company.  But probably the bulk will be on Friday.

With all the ITT encouragement, Scott, are you going to then up your Trackleaders game?  You know, for real-time ITT vs Gr Start comparos.  And I don't mean just diff colored dots on the map. Wink Wink Wink

I'm undecided on lining up for my 4th 750 start in-a-row, but if I do, Thursday ITT start sounds like a good idea.

I am going to look into the ITT since the weekend of 14-17 is Easter weekend and I can only imagine how super crazy Redington will be on the long weekend.

The 2017 edition of the race starts on April 7 FYI. Not trying dissuade you from an ITT, just letting you know the correct start date...

Fair point.  I pull them out to try to minimize confusion.... but, perhaps a checkbox to 'include ITT' on raceflow and the leaderboard would be a nice feature to have.

With this being my first go I am okay with any day you choose to start. I will just watch the feed and see if it does change from Friday. Of course I'm also planning to take off the whole week after since I'm down there. May as well see what all I can enjoy in the great state of AZ.

I'm planning on a Wednesday ITT for the 300 - probably camping out at Parker Lake Tuesday night.

Scott, maybe target the Wednesday start for 2018?
As an international, the start day doesn't really worry me. Being Easter makes it really hard to get leave though here in Australia. Easter is almost bigger than Christmas leave wise. Easter Sunday in 2018 is the 1st of April so a start the following week would be super. Wink
That said, anything that keeps bicycles seperated from badly driven vehicles is a sound idea. While one could always ITT, there is something about a grand depart that adds to the whole experience.
I hope to see you on a Wednesday in April, 2018. Wink

Cortvald -- Just an ITT -- they are all ITTs, technically, right? Smiley I'll see what I can do to add ITT comparison features, but I don't want to confuse people since it isn't quite comparing apples to apples (different start conditions, etc).  That said I do want to encourage ITTs, and they are ranked in the same year results.

flyboy -- I'll try to avoid Easter, though presumably you'd need to fly up much earlier than the weekend.  I try to maximize usable (early night) moonlight, and center around a full moon if at all possible.  This year we're set on Friday, but next year I'll go to Thurs or Weds, I think.

Yes, need a few days to get there from downunder but it is what it is. While I am keen to do the race if it takes a few years to get there, so be it.
