Looks like Aaron is back at the start - did he get his bike repaired already?

So, back at sun and spokes, looks like they can get me up and running for an itt day after tomorrow.  Won't have my nice carbon wheel, but they found an aluminum one in back they are going to give me!  Also, probably not the fault of my lbs, despite them not doing what I asked.  Most likely a rock flew up and bent derrailleur hanger...

Beltchenko out in front of all the 300's like it's nothing.   Impressive, as usual.

Wow!! What a whirlwind 36 hours.

First, here's a link to all the pics that myself and Mike Speer took, he did some short video clips too.

AZTR '19 Photos

The first couple of pics are Neil B's & Liz S's bikes since I drove them down to the 750 start. Night shots are from the 750 start on Wed. All others are from the 300 start on Thursday morning. I missed a few 750 riders coming through PCL when I didn't realize how low my phone battery was & it konked out. Gah!! On my way home I saw Evan's dot at Sahaurita Rd. and hoped he was taking a short break, he was!! So I stopped to see how his ride was going. He was getting some saddle discomfort but otherwise fine.

Aaron, glad to hear you'll be sorted out and back at it. Looks like Deanna may have re-thought her bike choice...quite the head scratcher, or maybe it was the flip-flops?? Couple of 300 riders have bailed to Hwy83 from Box Canyon Rd. Lots of huge efforts y'day and into the night. Lets see how they deal with the scorching heat today....

Yeah I just fixed Paul's. Yeah, I couldn't see a Rusty on there. Someone's having fun or desert delirium is setting in.

Hope all is well with Hanoch, that's a long way to go off route for breakfast. Quite a few dots in the Tucson area not at the typical re-supply points....

Garrett,
The old Rincon Market has re-opened under the name Rocking K Market and is next to the Farmer's Market on Old Spanish Trail. I guess if the riders didn't know & weren't paying attention, they missed it.

Ahh ok.

BTW was that a jet engine on the side of the road in your photos? haha

I'm super intrigued by Deanna Adams. Anybody know her back story?

I’m scratching out today.  I started cramping around mile 75.  I pushed onto to mile 95 last night.  I woke up at 1:30 puking and dry heaving- haven’t been able to keep anything down since then. I limped into Tucson and tried to find a combo of stomach medicine and basic food (bread/crackers/etc) that would let something stay down.  No luck outside of milk of magnesia and pedialyte and even that seems on the edge. 9 hours without food has left me destroyed.  I’m not sure what happened - I may have gone out too hard or just didn’t listen to my body early enough.  Given the heat and lack of calories I’m able to consume - proceeding seems stupid.  Not going to finish this time.

Thanks again John!  Good luck to everyone out there!
