It says $9.99 on Android currently.
Also, I'm guessing it has the official bike route, NOT the race route.
I'm sure that true. I only looked as far a Patagonia to KY camp. Still a huge improvement over the Hiker route only.Could explain the price increase also as the Colorado Trail app has separate purchases for the bike vs hike apps. Could be my grizzerly memory too, I was shooing kids off the lawn as made the purchase ; -) |

Still a huge improvement over the Hiker route only.
It looks like a cool app for sure. My comment was more for anyone else who might buy it thinking they can race by following the app when they still need the GPX file loaded somewhere. |

Definitely a 2ed or 3ed backup for navigation. Goto for resupply, One just needs to be aware It's extremely optimistic about H2o sources

Correct. The bike route on the AZT app is NOT the AZTR. It's close, but not quite. Don't DNF because you followed the wrong route. |

Is Robert Tomic walking? Those are some seriously short distances between spots. No he has a bike, I picked him up in Phoenix last week. He is out of shape, his words, and not in a rush. Not sure he knows he's on the race page, the link he gave me was on the general tracker page. Pretty sure he rode from SV to the start, but skipped the out and back to the border. |

He's on about a two month pace right now. I hope he has an awesome time out there and is enjoying himself but at that slow of a pace I'm more concerned for his food / water situation on a day to day basis. Know any more details about his ride?

I know he had anticipated it taking 3 days from SV to Patagonia, so he likely has enough food and he's not that far from Cott Tank water spigot. He's done the Great Divide as well as the Baja. He's an experienced mountaineer as well. He has a gps with the track and base map, it will be interesting to see what he does at Canelo Pass.

He is continuing on into Canelo West, may not have had an accurate campsite post as his spot made a big jump first thing this morning.

Robert made Tucson just fine, went to Ben's Bike's for repairs. His GF set up his tracking he does not consider himself an ITT. I gave him a ride out Reddington yesterday, we saw a crew of bikepackers heading down the road, and met another Canadian named Dan he's doing the whole thing started last month but had to go home for work. |

The dots are beginning to fill the AZ borders!! A couple more ITTers got underway this morning, Malcolm from the UK and local Tucson rider & friend, Justin M. Looks like Justin is getting his monies worth in the Canelos, hope all is well.
Just a quick reminder mostly to those watching the dots, friends/family, etc. that this is a self-supported ride, please don't put the riders in a awkward position by offering any outside support, be it food, drinks, frequent meetups along the way. As exciting as it is, let 'em ride. If you happen to be on your local trail and meet a rider, please no pacing. Again, let 'em ride. Thanks and enjoy the dot watching!! It's going to be a very fun year with a ton of interesting stories. I really hope we get a bunch of call-ins to mtbcast.

Super bummed, I'm out. Derrailleur went into spokes. Asked my lbs to service shocks and replace all housing. Instead, they "soaked my derrailleur" overnight. There was nothing wrong with the derrailleur and I didn't ask them to touch it. 3 hours later the derrailleur went into the spokes, with out even shifting. Live and learn. Hoping to fix it and restart, it was a long ways down from WY.
