Does anyone know the dates of the 2017 version? The website has yet to be updated and I'd like to begin planning a few other multi-day outings, but don't want to conflict with this one as I'd like to ride it!!

John, please post here if you hear anything! I'm considering doing this one next year, and I haven't been able to get a hold of the very busy organizer!

Kurt  - it would be awesome to have you out here in So Cal for a race and have a beer with you in Idy. I don't know if Brendan has a date set yet. I am guessing it will be different. 2016, there was a pretty rough storm that blew in on the first day and kept the race full with some nasty conditions for So Cal. What is the point of racing here if it is going to rain a ton. Since the race is a "greatest hits" of what So Cal has to offer, he may want to avoid similar conditions.

I'd love to, but March 11 is likely the only start date that would work for me. And what are the odds of a big storm at that time of year two years in a row?!

I am also considering the Stagecoach 400 this year so a post when the start date is known would be appreciated.

What tires (model/width) would folks recommend for this race?  Sounds like there are some sandy sections.  I have a hardtail 29er I plan to ride.

Thanks in advance.

From everything I've heard from folks who have ridden this route (I haven't myself!), some sections are quite sandy, but something like a 29x2.35" Maxxis Ikon is an ideal tire. It's not really worth pushing the weight and rolling resistance of a plus-sized tire over all those mountains for just a small part of the course that's soft (although everyone has their own opinion about this sort of thing).

Well, crap. Looks like the start date has been moved to March 17th. If I'm going to do this, It'll be as an ITT the weekend of the 11th as originally announced.

Freeskier46 and krefs... just wondering if you guys are still in interested in an ITT on the original date weekend.  Myself and another (one already made travel arrangements as well) are planning on starting on the 10th.  Just wanted to throw it out there if you are interested.

Yes, I plan on starting the morning of the 10th. I'll be riding with two others in 'Fast Tour Mode'

Anyone know of good places to park in Idyllwild for a few days while you're racing?

Does anyone have any info on how the weather might be affecting the course this year?  Hopefully things will dry out in time for the start.

Looks like some ITT'rs departed this past weekend, couple of finishers and a few scratches already. Should be a fun one. The weather is looking nice as well. Who is in for the group departure this Friday?

Hi everyone,

As many of you, I will be riding the Stagecoach 400 in a few days.

In order to make the spectatorship experience more enjoyable for our friends and family, I have been working on an app that aims at immersing them into the scenery we will be going through. If this is something you are interested about, I invite you to:

(Chrome recommended)
1. Check out a replay of the 2016 Stagecoach: https://shutuplegs.cc/event/stagecoach16
2. Register your SPOT for 2017 if your are riding the 400 route: https://shutuplegs.cc/registration/stagecoach17
3. Share this link as an alternative place to follow your progress: https://shutuplegs.cc/event/stagecoach17
4. Email me with your feedback at ak@shutuplegs.cc

I am excited to hear what you think about ShutUpLegs. And remember, this does not replace your Trackleader registration.

I don't know anything about this course but Kurt is putting a hurtin' out on it! Any chance he clocks in under the 1d15h27min record mark? 72 miles to the finish with 9 hours left to 1d15.
Hunter is also crushing it. Get it fellas!
