Alright, the pre-race thread is 21 pages, so it's time to start anew.

Race starts in less than 24 hours.

I have 41 people on the tracker right now.  Biggest AZT ever!

The forecast has steadily grown colder and more wet as the week has gone on.  The latest for Mt Lemmon:

Saturday: Snow showers likely, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44. West wind between 13 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Luckily only the pointy end of the group will be dealing with Lemmon during the potential storm, but one thing is for sure -- this is not going to be a hot year!

Riders are here and getting bikes together won't be long now.

I can't wait to see what nearly 40 riders look like at Parker Lake.

Good luck everyone! I sadly have to pull out (gotta work; an independent contractor with a non-deterministic schedule is tough on planning).

Just arrived in Sierra Vista after driving down from Denver, CO.  Wishing everyone a good nights sleep, and hope the weather doesn't get crazy. Look forward to meeting tomorrow morning.

Good luck everyone!  Put on a show for those of us watching from home.  I'm pulling for all 750 starters to be 750 finishers as well!  Goldberg's triple crown effort is underway soon.

It's already 60 degrees in Patagonia this morning and no wind to speak of.  Should be perfect out there.
Might even turn into a tailwind once they hit the asphalt  thumbsup

Did Maad leave his Spot at home? Or is he sleeping in?

All bunched up at the beginning 20 to 30 miles.  headbang

Bunch of questions like I'd like others to answer, if they know:
Who's Maad?
Bunch of riders without spot tracking or devices not working? S Morris? M Caminiti?
Wendy L off course already?
Why is Brad M so far out in front - did he start riding a few hours early to beat the heat?

Thanks.
