[post moved to TD2011 discussion]

Anyone have any tips for me about why my Dakota 20 suddenly only shows about the first 90% of the NB TD route, stopping mid-Montana--???  The route looks fine on my laptop.  I deleted and re-loaded many times, restored to factory settings.  It always stops in the same place.  I believe it looked fine for awhile.  I'm loading the route from Basecamp on a Mac.  I should use the proper term---"track".  I also loaded the track from the road trip software and the track stops in exactly the same place.

I saw this:  http://www.bikepacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,929.msg19902.html#msg19902    DBent, what did you do to fix this?

TIA

russ

I have a Vista hcx. I had to break the track into 20 separate tracks. Then I had to set the up load to my garmin so it would automatically reduce each track to 500 points.

I would give you a step by step tutorial but I did it through trial and error and I don't remember exactly how it was done... Lol.

Good luck and I'll see you somewhere near Rawlins!

Make sure that you don't exceed 10,000 waypoints.  I set my at 9999 to be safe.  Your track might exceed the max amount to be put on the gps.
