While I have completed a coast to coast ride a decade or so ago, today there is a good deal more tweeting and/or other driver distractions 'out there.'
Hence, while giving thought to doing another coast to coast, this time I may only have the nerve to do it on the lowest possible traffic trails and roads.
My preferred Atlantic Ocean connecting point would be somewhere in the southeastern US.
Anyone got any thoughts for me on this notion?
- Many thanks.
P.S. I am aware of the Adventure Cycling Association well documented maps; however, they are not always the lowest traffic routes, and many times they tend to stay on pavement .... I would gladly be on dirt to avoid traffic ... they way traffic has gotten to be today.   Maybe I should be looking at the American Discovery Trail (?); however, while it offers remote routing it is designed to connect urban areas to urban areas.  Need advice.

See if you can find more information on this route

Or use portions of this, although this doesn’t end on the southern US
