just a thought.
What about a new picture on the homepage? It's a very lovely picture but it's been there for years now and maybe it would be nice to greet us with a new one? Surprise us all!
Anyway, love this site, thanks for making the effort!!  headbang

Good idea.  Do you mean the photo on the landing page:

http://bikepacking.net, or also the header for the forums (same photo).  It would be nice to see something new, though I like how the colors match the layout of the site.  Rotating photo would be cool too.

Thx for the suggestion.

It would be really cool to have it be a revolving thing. Like the home page at Tucson MTB. If there was a way that people could add a pic weather through Picasa or some other way. I really like the photo of the moment at this site http://www.mountainproject.com/ if it was something like that where the info for the pic was included that would also be cool. That way as the site grows there will be more and more pics cycling through.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean, rotating pictures would be cool indeed.
The header picture is not that noticeable and probably also harder to change so I wouldn't bother if I were you.

I second the rotating picture idea. Also user uploaded pictures would be a great idea also.

Not a big fan of having closeup pics of people, but a biker in the distance is cool.

Also adding location & GPS coordinates of the pictures would be a nice added touch.

If the image has been updated then it's still not fulfilling with the website website. If I skip the site main logo part then the site would look like talking about hill ranges. It would give more effect when there could be a guy biking within header image.

Hope you got me what I am trying to say.

Btw that's just a suggestion.

Thanks
Helen

Although I don't moto tour any longer, I still go to this site just for the slideshow. Great images can do wonders for the interest of a site/sport.

The adventure rider site has, by far, the best photos posted anywhere.  I'm terrible with a camera, but maybe some of those who are good at taking pictures could add some.  Maybe even a new threat here?
