Hi all:

I’m new to forum.  Looking at doing Oregon Outback in September and continuing from The Dalles to Ellensburg and link up with the western section of the Cross-Washington to to Port Angeles.

I had created what appears to be a great dirt route up Klickitat railtrail up to Glenwood, up the 255, up diamond creek to Cuitin Creek, top out on Garland mtn , drop down west side meadows 4x4 track & out to Rimrock, bethel ridge.. and on and on. That was until I realized that takes me directly through Yakima Nation lands. Will this be an issue? From what I’ve read on hiking, biking, ATV sites... yes, big issue. Yakima Nation is very protective of their wild horse population and reserve land.

Scratch plan A

Plan B: alternate via NF-23 west side of Adams, cut over to Berry Patch on 22, north on 21, double back via Hwy 12... packwood to Rimrock
Plan C: battle cattle trucks on 97 to Toppenish, Yakima, Naches - As a reroute alternative.
Plan D: mostly paved ride out the 410 to Tacoma - 16 to port gamble.
Plan E: any gravel grinder suggestions to Olympia?

Planning on 12-14 bike days - although MTB Singletrack is always fun, would rather just get mileage on lesser used gravel / double track.

Any route suggestions would be great...
