Hi all,
I'm thinking of an early winter out and back on the GAP trail, starting in Pittsburgh. My plan is to drive to Pittsburgh and make it a 4-day out and back. Does anyone know what the parking situation is in Pittsburgh, or have any recommendations for leaving the car?

I rode the GAP and C&O last year, if I were doing it again I would start just outside of Pittsburgh in the Homestead area. It cuts off a bit of the urban riding at the start and there are lots of hotels and restaurants in that area so no one would notice your car there for a few days. It's a great ride enjoy!

Does anyone know if there is long-term parking at the Three Rivers Heritage Trail trailhead in Pittsburgh? Or other alternatives?

This might help with your parking question:

Good luck.
