Heya,

So flights are booked, I'm scoping accommodation and finalising routes...

this April I'm off to Davenport in Tasmania with the hope of doing the Tasmanian trail south to Dover.  From there, I'd like to continue as far south as I can.   Basically, I need to be back in Hobart after 5 days, fly home on the evening of the 6th day... (but will need to pack a bike etc... before then Wink

Tasmanian trail is a no brainer, though have read with interest many experiences on the route finding side of things, which could hinder my ambitions, otherwise I would think the 480km's to Dover should be ok over 3ish days.   depending on how things pan out, I'd then try and get to Cockle Bay by the end of Day 4.  This is as far south as the roads go, and I suspect due to the wilderness designation, as far south as I'll be able to ride.  It's tempting to take shoes and hike to the cape if I can find somewhere to stash the bike, but trying to go light and fast may limit the room for such things...

Has anyone continued south? and/or know a nicer route than just bashing down the Pave' to Cockle Bay?

Cheers
