FYI - appears to be a good resource for planning back-road adventures:

Cheers!

Wow, I've never seen such gridded gravel roads. Any idea if there is a way to find this information for other states? I love that when you zoom out it doesn't filter out all the small roads. Google maps is useless from a bicycle perspective because if you zoom out more than a few miles all it shows are the major roads and filters out all the bike friendly roads.

Strava heatmap is a great addition.  What is the "bad roads" layer?  This is awesome!

That's my map, thanks for the nice feedback.

Other states: the data is hit and miss. Some states have it, some have in only in certain regions, some want you to pay for it, some don't have anything. I also made one for Iowa - http://iowagravelroads.com. I processed the data for Texas but haven't made it live yet. There's a couple other states that I might do.

The "Bad Roads" layer: roads that I have ridden or other people have told me about that suck for some reason. Right now it's mostly due to oil truck traffic.

This is awesome. I'd love to see a similar map for Utah. I wonder if it's feasible...

Wow, this is a phenomenal resource, thank you!!  thumbsup

Can anyone advise, is it safe to assume all routes shown are public? When I analyze the areas I'm familiar with this appears to be true, just wanted to be sure.

I found the answer to my own question, posting the link here for the benefit of others:

drwelby: The presentation of information on your map is great, it makes it easy to visualize some pretty exciting possibilities.

Virtual beer donated and thanks again!
