Going to a family wedding in Vegas the last week of March and was wondering if there were any decent bikepacking routes in the area. I'll be flying so I could potentially start in Phoenix or elsewhere instead and then take a bus to Vegas. I was originally thinking about the BCT in Arizona but that doesn't end anywhere near a Greyhound station. Also thought about riding White Rim Road and taking a bus from Green River to Vegas, but it's a lot more expensive to fly into CNY airport (and as small as those planes are, I'm not sure they'd allow a boxed-up bike). Any ideas? (I'm not an expert rider by any means, so I'd also like to keep the really technical riding to a minimum).

Thanks!

I've heard that hitching from the end of the BCT up to Flagstaff is pretty easy, and there's a greyhound station here.  Check the Arizona Shuttle, too; they go from Phoenix up I-17 to Flagstaff with a couple of stops on the way.  Not sure what they charge for bikes.

Do your bike pack here in Vegas, if you started say at the beginning of the BBT then used it and the pipeline rd to get out to BnC or cottonwood valley, you could camp out there, then ride over to cowboy trails , then loop back to BBT with less than 5-10 miles of pavement... just a thought.
