Magura USA is now distributing Vaude bike bags. I have some experience with their alpine gear which has been very durable and comfy.
They have a few different bags in the 20-30 liter range that look good for bikepacking, does anybody have experience with these?

A friend of mine reps for them he had one out on the trail the other day it did look pretty nice. It did have one problem when he tried to adjust the sternum strap position it came part way off and would not go back on.

Yeah, they use the piping style sternum strap which is very popular outside the US, most here use a piece of webbing.
the one on my alpine pack has popped off a couple of times but mostly stays put.
I was looking for more of a comfort comparison between these and the Talon, there aren't too many bags out there with flexible support like this. Most of the similar packs that i've seen are really for adventure racing and lack the support of the talon type bags.

In the last ten years i've owned two Vaude backpacks and I've been happy with them. I used them on two transalp trips but mainly i've used them for commuting. I don't know how they compare to an Osprey or Deuter as far as comfort and fit, i've only used the Vaude.

Also used a Vaude 30l for a couple of years and still looks as good as new. Only problem is that it has a lot of features thta all add to the weight.

Just got a alpin air 30...
pretty sweet so far... 3lbs with rain fly, mp3 holder, bladder....
I'll be getting some miles on it the next few days... looks like i can fit alot in this thing! and appears to adjust to my long torso.
