Hey all, I'm looking if anyone has some super-thin silnylon or other non-breathable glove cover. I want something packable for when the cold rain comes to keep it off my thin merino liners.

i have a pair, sized too small for a real liner inside. they have worked OK.
looks like they may be discontinued - only size available is xxl... which would work for a real cycling glove underneath on my hands.

i like the looks of these:

I made my own cuben hybrid lobster mitts. I used hybrid for durability/abrasion resistance against the bars.
Below are a few purchasable options geared more towards the UL hiking crowd that use various weights of cuben. Durability may be an issue for repeated use.

What did you use for the hybrid? I assume cuben on the back, and something else on the palm?

I've been using the typical latex/nitrile gloves used for medical exams, cleaning, etc.  I used the powder-less ones in the slightly thicker material in a big size, and they work fine and are waterproof and surprisingly durable.  They're cheaper than anything else and pack down tiny.  I bring three and the third is a backup or for greasy repairs.

Another option for you. These work very well for me:

I've just always used bread bags.  Seriously.  Yeah, they aren't great but if it's cold enough they work wonders.  And I'm cheap.

Cuben Hybrid is the name of the material. Available from zpacks.com.

Here's info from their site

"2.92 oz/sqyd Cuben Hybrid This material is made from the same 1.43 oz/sqyd Cuben Fiber as seen above on the inside, with a protective layer of 50 Denier Polyester on the outside. The outer layer gives it more strength, and abrasion resistance, prevents fraying, and gives it a nice solid color."

I've made a full bikepacking kit out of this stuff. The seatbag I made has a few seasons and many miles on it and has held up extremely well. Good stuff.
