"We're just going to run through the combos, before that however, we want to note that the rear saddle clamp bolt is quite nasty on bags. If left un-treated this bolt WILL WEAR A HOLE IN YOUR BAG. We recommend replacing it with a smooth head bolt, or abundant use of a file to round off the sharp teeth."

Anyone done this? Looks like an m5x35mm.

Hi Yes
I filed the sharp teeth off a little!
Would next time just replace the bolt, as still worn the seat bag a little.

All the best

I replaced the bolt. It's 5x something more than 30. Longest I had available to me was 5x30 and it works.

It can be an issue indeed but I realized it before it was too late. I used a piece of an old tire between the bolt and the viscacha and fixed the thire with two zip ties around the stem. Works pretty good so far.

For the record, Cane Creek said: "Yes you can replace it with a round head M5x35 but it does use a orbital washer and bolt head, to keep the load on the bolt head even. So you will want to try to find a bolt with an orbital head. Or you can try padding the current bolt with a wrap of old tube or foam."

Another thing to consider is clearance between the bottom of the bag and the wheel. My bike has a small frame and as the seatpost went through its travel, the bag would rub against the wheel.

Mine did that too, but I solved that issue by running an extra stra through the seat rails and around the bag and cinched it up real tight. Winner winner...

I put one of these little plastic screw protectors (cheap and available at just about any hardware store) on mine. Works great.
