Hi all

Looking for some options here. I know what I want, and have found a few options, but wondering what other options I am missing.

I am going the gravel bike route, which will replace my mountain bike and commuter (looking to get the mythical do-it-all bike). Have narrowed what I want/need, and well - as I said, trying to see other options. I ride 15 miles roundtrip to work most days. Do several weekend long bikepacking trips a year. Visit singletrack a few times a month in summer.

My ideal bike is

steel frame
carbon fork (although I could go steel fork if the price is low enough and upgrade later - looking at you Kona Rove ST)
clearance for 40c+ tires - can go either 650B or 700C
mounting bolts everywhere - especially on fork
1x SRAM Rival setup
tubeless compatible (not sold on this being necessary though)
probably some other stuff I am forgetting

Anyway - the current bikes I am looking at are

Kona Rove ST https://www.konaworld.com/rove_st.cfm
Kona Sutra LTD https://www.konaworld.com/sutra_ltd.cfm
Bombtrack Hook 2 http://bombtrack.com/2020-hook-2/
Bombtrack Hook EXT http://bombtrack.com/2020-hook-ext/
Rondo Ruut ST http://rondo.cc/ruut-st,18,pl

So things like that? What else is out there?

So why not do the Salsa Vaya?  The Fargo has so many mounts on the firestarter fork but the Vaya is a bulletproof gravel bike, from what I've found. I have the aluminum Journeyman and am beyond happy with it but I sell the vaya and fargo at my shop and everyone that uses the vaya for an around town and travel bike loves it

I'm happy with my Ritchey Ascent.

Sounds like you have described the Surly Midnight Special. Seems like a great all-rounder:
