Amtrak Bike Roll on info-

Checking to see if anyone has taken Amtrak from DC to Pittsburgh using the roll on bike service.. Trying to get some intel on the rack system. I know the Trainside Checked Bicycle Service on some lines do not allow you to enter the baggage car and requires your tire/wheel combo to be 2" or less- however wondering if when I roll on I could velcro or bungee the wheel sufficiently on my 29x3 set up.
