Hate wasting $$$ on Lith Batteries...Anyone use Rechargeable Lithium Batteries??

I was skimming through some reviews of Ni and Lith Ion rechargeable batteries and was curious if anyone is using these in there Spot, GPS, headlamps, etc. 

These have a sweet price point on Ebay, Amazon, etc.

What kind of luck are you having? 
What brands are you using?

I've been using EBL Ni-MH 2800's AA and AAA's 1100 and they hold about 60-70% the charge of the 8x Enegize Lithiums.  They weigh twice as much-1oz each instead of 0.5oz on lithiums, but at $1-50-2.00 each it only takes a few trips to break even.  I've been using the Powerex MH-C204U-04IGS Compact USB Charger (89g) [AA/AAA only] when travelling for days since it can do 4 batteries,uses usb to microusb to charge input 5v/1.2a output 5v/1.0a.  Takes about 5-6hrs for 4AA's and 3-4hrs for AAA's.    I also tried the xtar XPI single .25/.5amp output AA/AAA charger 35g that also does 3v/14500 batteries which can be used for more lumens on my helmet or handlebar flashlights.  Both will charge  off the dynamo hub and do one or two batteries but you have to be moving, more of a last resort compared to an AC outlet but doable.   I usually have a 6kmah usb battery pack, 4 to 6 backup AA's, the dynamo and dynamo light, cords/dual usb wall charger.  We usually get about 3-4 days and 150-300 miles before needing an outlet for 4-8hours.   It is definately a money and planet saver. There's a lot of LED lights that use 18650 LiIon batteries...
I've been thinking that it could work out well to use the same batteries with a converter module like https://www.adafruit.com/products/2030 for charging devices.
I'll let you know how it works.

Not as useful for bikepacking but I have the Energizer renewal batteries and fast charger.  It normally charges a pair in 15min or all 4 in 20-30 mins.  If there are resupply points you might be able to plug in for a few mins if you don't mind carrying the charger.  Otherwise I've been using Energizer Lithiums. I only needed 3 pair in my GPS for a 7-day unsupported trip last summer.

I'd like to get a hub dynamo built up this winter which would give more options for lighting, GPS power and recharges.
