So  I am touring the CT from durango, starting a week after the CTR.  I have Toby Gadds gpx file loaded into my device and wondering if need to do anything to follow the track from Durango.  I have Garmin Etrex 30.  My assumption is ill turn the track on, show it on the map and keep my arrow on the line headed towards Denver.  Can anybody verify?

thanks in advance

Yes, the track will appear and you should follow it. Won't matter that the track was made in the other direction.

GPX files are directional. That only matters if you want the GPS to feed to the correct performance data like distance/time to target. You can ignore it and just follow the line on your screen which is the same no matter what direction the track was ridden when collected.

If you want to ride the track opposite to the direction it was collected and want the performance data you should be able to invert the track in your GPS.

On etrex20/30 you can definitely reverse the direction directly on the device or you can do it in basecamp.
