Found a 2014 Surly Krampus on local CL for $900. Saddle will be included but no pedals (I ride flats anyway). I'm currently bikepacking with my 29er hardtail but would like a more dedicated bike, preferably with plus tires, for bikepacking.

Does this sound like a decent deal? I'd like to be able to sell it without losing money, if I find myself wanting to go back to bikepacking with a hardtail.

Great price.... sure its not stolen?
That's a brand new $95 Moloko bar that didn't come on a 2014.

Pretty damn sure it's not stolen. The owner knows his bike stuff, and also rides a Surly LHT. He replaced the original Whammy bar with the Moloko but I'm going to get the Whammy from him, to reduce weight and cost.

The rear mech has been swapped out for x0 derailleur and x9 shifter, from the original SLX. Supposedly for upgrading?

If you ride hard enough, you'll get more than your money's worth without even selling it. Then the resale money is extra.

Quit stalling and flip that thing. I got five bills when you sell.  icon_biggrin
