We've started planning for this once again, though we've not made the start line yet.

We won't make the GD but will do an ITT starting in July.

Too bad the two can't do the GD. The kid has guts, see http://minipips.blogspot.co.uk/ . Will be an interesting year: youngest rider, Guy Martin, (word on the street) Mike Hall...

Hmm, might make the GD yet. Wink

Me and my Son have added our details to the Google Doc.

Leaving around the beginning of August NoBo. Would have liked to make the GD, but it clashes with his school term.

This is our bike (pictured just after we'd completed a 24hr race)

Well the stats suggest that Neil is the faster moving rider.

If I was going to be away for 2-4 weeks I'd be phoning home to check that my family were OK, not for their counselling.

Imagine if Spot trackers could relay difference between your location and the record "ghost" as is shown on trackleaders.

You could easily have a set of waypoints on your garmin with record times to check against.  thumbsup

the Sponsored fastest guys always seem to be winning.

...and if you've a pedigree in winning or are prepared to ask around even if your aren't going to win, there is sponsorship out there.

curious.  would Lina Rice be the youngest person to take on this race?

Probably. There was a 17 year old last year.

Tracker says he deviated from the route though.
13  Forums / Question and Answer / Re: How do you pack it? on: June 06, 2015, 04:45:44 PM
Sleeping bag, mat and night clothes in a drybag on the bars.

Quote
What size dry sack you guys using for the sleeping bag?
13 Litre.

Food and tools in a frame bag - Quick to access.

Tent in a (non waterproof) seatpack, which may have extra food in depending on the trip.

Could you use a spare bracket in between the current bracket and the light to lower it? - http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/supernova-multimount-bracket-prod21403/
