I'm selling my Tranny. Great, fast bike.  Breaks down for travel too! Does have some tire rub as I'd been running 27.5+ in the rear, but its only cosmetic and cant see it when the wheel is installed.

Up for sale is a Ti Bar/Stem Combo made by Black Sheep in Ft Collins CO.  17 Degree Sweep, 60mm Stem length, 730 mm wide.  Gives great alt/aero hand positions and allows you to mount a light above/forward of your bar bag.  I just don't use it with my new bike set up. They are a work of art and need a new home -

$395 OBRO

Thanks jrml!

Another general bikepacking question...how do secure your bike when solo bikepacking? Namely when restocking  food. Also when sleeping. And any other time when you may need to be separated from your bike.

By the time I get to BV's city market, I little bit of me hopes someone will steal my bike so I can rest for a while, but if you do want to lock it up, check out this light weight option, in a bright color it might be enough to give someone a second thought - Adam found it, so I'll share his link:

Failure - sort of......... I succumbed to the heat on Friday climbing out of Dewey.  Kyle and I both turned it into a 250 mile lollipop though.  I'll be back. I'm hooked. Congrats Dave, nice ride!

Awesome thanks Mike, I was hoping we could ride some of the path.  So Kyle and I will start an ITT tomorrow night when ever we get there.  I don't think we can call it a grand depart with two people! We're going counter clockwise, starting from Loma and riding the whole route (Koski Traverse) and the extra trail including the power lines that BD called out. in the above map.  We considered adding the western rim for fun, but decided to go as "classic" as we could -

Thomas, are you still going out on Friday clockwise? We'll look for you, hope to see you out there.

I'm looking forward to finally seeing this course, thanks for all the beta guys -

Hi Thomas,
There are two of us, maybe 3, driving from the front range in the late afternoon on May 31st.  Given the low interest, we were thinking about just starting when we get there, Thursday night.  We are also kicking around a West Water Start.  Where are you driving in from?  When were you planning to arrive?

I'm in for 6/1. I think I have two more coming as well.  Thanks Dave for the above, I'm entering research mode this week.

May 11th is mothers day weekend and 12 hours of Mesa Verde for me.  My only window is leaving June 1st -  BangHead

I can't do the holiday weekend, that's kids/family time for me. I'm still looking for an ITT window the 1st or 2nd week of June if anyone wants to join me -

I think I could make June 1st or 8th work. If we're picking a consistent date, the first Friday of June has a ring to it.  This would also remove the snow risk of which Dave speaks.  This has been on my bucket list for a while, I'd love to give it a go -

I'm feeling nostalgic watching a JB dot at the front again.  Two singles speeders in the top 6....... And Todd Johnson has 126 miles under his belt while hauling all his supplies from the start........It's a fun year to watch.  Thanks for the pics Stephan, looks epic out there -

Work won. I can't make it for an ITT start tomorrow as planned.  Good luck to all those on course are nearly on course, I hope to join you next year!

I will be doing an ITT starting on Saturday AM,  24 hours after you all start.  Work threw a curve at me, but I will not be denied the pleasure pain!!! Can't wait to get out there and follow some tire tracks.  I'm sorry I'll miss the group start though!

Erin, what is the name of the hotel? Google is failing me. I see the Holiday Inn 7 miles and 1400 vert feet away, but it sounds like you may be referring to something right in lake of the woods?

The stoke it high!  Thanks,

Pete
