I used a BA Fly Creek for many years. Poles were stored in the frame bag (along the down tube), or strapped to the top tube separately when not using a frame bag. Those options worked ok. When I changed my set up to front panniers and no frame bag I purchased a BA Copper Spur bikepacking model. Weight was a few ozs more than the std model but the whole thing would fit in a small pannier or even in a Carradice saddle bag. You might want to check out the specific tents BA makes for bikepacking as the poles break down to about 12? or so.

I'm touring southbound and just left Glacier Cyclery in Whitefish. Zack from the shop told us to watch out for Lael coming past us. So I can confirm she's attempting an ITT. I'm excited to see her and hope she has a safe ride and stays healthy on this one. Mike G.
