Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread, can't remember who it was but they said the route they are on is the course and the red line is incorrect.

Seems like he is having a blast though. 

Watching Dave Nice tackle his nemesis head on is gripping in a slow-motion way.  Anyone seen the wind he has been pushing through? More importantly, anyone know if there is a water source anywhere near his current location?

For a currently armchair cyclist following this ride I found it gave me a sense of what perhaps the riders are facing wind wise.  Sorry if its already been posted.
