Thanks for the thumbs up Lynda. Your training program is what got Mike to the AZT30000000. He couldn't have done it without your coaching, seriously!  He has prob lost a total of 40lbs by now!
I am anxiously waiting for the end of this race! As, we might have to re-establish the disappearing beer belly, I have a full cooler of Corona, Pabst, Silverback and an IPA, water, coke and burritos. Locked and loaded. I am leaving Tempe, when Mike hits the summit of the last peak (alamo?) If anyone happens to be around - it's happy hour, whatever hour it is!
Cheers!

Hello,
I was going to head out on Hwy 177 today on my way to Mesa and thought I would grab a bunch of waters to replenish the water cache on Freeman Road. Is it an easy to spot to locate? I have a couple different maps...
There is an amazing looking "junk" store in Oracle, so thought it was a good excuse to stop by that and then continue onto the water cache and into Mesa, to hopefully collect Mike Brislin by Friday!
Scatman, for sure I feel guilty about having a decent meal and getting a good night sleep!

What a great blog post, John! Thanks for the interesting re-count of your ride and the awesome photos. I admire the spirit and passion you all have for riding your bikes! Keep on Keeping on!

I just checked in with Mike Brislin and he is taking a break in Oracle...re-fueling for the next section of the ride. Tired but still upbeat.
He is shackin' at the a-frames..the lady there says there has been some excitement with the AZT300 bikers coming thru Smiley

Did anyone notice that Karen Lundgren and Paul Romero started on the trail this morning? I have been hanging out watching (from my computer!) the back end of the race, rooting for MB and AM to get up and over that mountain! I looks like Beto bailed, as he had been keeping around the same pace as Arno, but I see that BA is on the West side of Tucson?
Congrats to the finishers and soon to be finishers! Great job.

I am here in Tucson, cheering for Mike Brislin and following everyone on the Tracker. All the photos and discussions are AWESOME and yes, better than any reality show that Bravo, Survivor and The Amazing Race has to offer.
I am bummed for the peeps that have had to drop out and send a thumbs up to everyone that is still out there and hope they all have somewhere semi-warm to sleep tonight. I got to meet Erick's wife Jen yesterday at the start, sorry to see them head back to Cali - safe travels!

Cheers everyone, you all are amazing!
