I hope someone posts a link to the unofficial spreadsheet soon.

Thanks, Tom

Anyone know what happened to Andrew Kulmatiski, now listed as scratched?  He was making a quick NOBO run and in the top ten overall for quite awhile.  Looks like he spent the night in Horca after fighting through Carson NF all day yesterday.  There was considerable slushy snow 2 weeks ago when I pushed my bike through most of it.

BTW, I'm still recovering with Enteritis and on 2 antibiotics.  Feeling much better now.

Thanks, Tom

Scott came through and setup Trackleaders.
I'll also post updates to IG at tlane3of6 and the occasional MTBcast.

Meant to put this in the Tour Divide 2023 - Race Prep Discussion thread.

For early starters:

Looking for advice:
Per the Unofficial Starters list, George Whalen is starting South bound tomorrow, 5/12.

I am planning the first leg of my Yo-Yo attempt starting 5/20 North bound.

If I don't receive any word from Matthew Lee or Scott Morris prior to my planned start, what GPX should I use?

Thanks, Tom

I don't see a 2022 AZTR Race Discussion thread yet.

Scott, can you explain the different tracks for this years race?  I see the different labels for the different colors but I'm confused by the riders taking different options.  Specifically Ana and Alexandera.  Is Ana actually racing the 300 or are racers given options?

Thanks, Tom

Looks like Manu missed a turn.  I assume they have not been following their gps tracks for many miles so how will he even know before he gets to Silver City, if then?

I don't recall ever having a reroute due to MUD.  Has this happened before?
Doesn't look like Adrien received word of this reroute.
What happens after Cuba?  Looks like Sofiane has dealt with his share of mud today.

Looks like Manu has some issue this morning, heading off course to El Vado.  Road seams to be paved here so maybe a mechanical?

Edit: 112 is likely not paved where Manu turned around.  Interesting that NB Jeff Hehn went down hill relatively slowly into El Vado right after Manu.

Just made a donation to Fernie SAR, thanks for the link.

Thanks for the update on Josh, I nearly quit at Lava Mountain Lodge in '13 with bad knees.  After figuring out my seat post had settled about 2" I was able to finish after a long rest in one of their cabins and lots of ibuprofen.

Anyone know what happened to Nate Ginzton.  Tracker Leaders shows him as Scratched.

Thanks, Tom

Can anyone explain the route options south of Cuba?  So many were taking the blue track on TL that I thought it was a fire detour.  Now I notice Rick Cano and Gary Johnson now south of Cuba on the Classic route so it must be still open.  Why did so many switch that were previously on the Classic route?

Edit:  Sorry, just noticed RC and GJ also took the blue track out of Cuba but swithed back to the classic route south of Grants.

Question remains, is the Classic closed out of Cuba for some reason?

Thanks, Tom

I notice that Sarah Swallow and Ryan Brink have taken the alternate route out of Cuba.  They were on the Classic route up to this point.  Is this section optionable or is there another fire detour?  I see lots of rain in NW so maybe they took a less muddy route?  Temps in NM are likely lower than they dealt with in Montana.  Strange year.

Congratulations Jay Petervary!  Classy race on the classic course.  Time for lots of well deserved sleep.

What's up with the new detour (in Orange on Individual maps) just south of Steamboat Springs on 131?  I thought racers were going off route at first since it doesn't show up on the main track.

Exciting race going on with JP and Brendan and 'only' one state to go.  Don't remember a year with such a close race for so long.  Early on JP was keeping up with Brendan by going on less sleep as Brendan was slightly fast while they were riding.  Seems like things equalized through Colorado in both the amount of sleep and speed.

Good catch on Robert Lesmerises off course.  If he knew and just wanted to get back on course without backtracking, he just missed a couple of 'easy' chances.  Hopefully, he knows what he's doing and just wants a tour of Elk Lake.  He seems committed to that route.   If not, might be time to start worrying about him.

Some conversation on Facebook, but not nearly as much as in the past. Unless I'm missing a group section over there....

Try these links, they shouldn't require an account. Top 9 photos at the top, below that is the most recent photos using the hashtags. From there you should be able to click onto the peoples accounts (as some forget to use the hashtag). You'll stumble into the accounts of those posting more than others.

Thanks for sharing the IG links.  After viewing the pics for a few seconds, log in IS required, so I'll pass.

Anyone know the story behind Peter Puenner (NB)?  He was shown as Scratched a couple days ago but looks like he back on the route.

Crazy how Brendan is able to keep just out of reach of Jay P.  The early heat this year must be killer.

What are those new icons on Trackleaders I haven't seen before? The legend does not provide info on them

a yellow square with two vertical lines might be a pause icon, but it should show up more often, and I only see it for JP

Why does JP have solid blue track point diamonds?
I'm guessing JP has a different GPS tracker than the standard Spots that sends a difference signal.  Maybe a Garmin InReach?

Disappointing to see so little traffic on the Forums these days.  I don't use Facebook, is it really that much better?
