It appears to be my year to try the 300 again. I'm leary of the heat that did me in during the 2010 race so I'll be doing an ITT the last week of March and will roll the dice on Mt Lemon conditions.

I filtered water from the "lake" and it tasted fine and vaguely of trout 
The spigot on the alt route up is about 1 easy mile from the split. I don't know if it is a sure thing as there had been recent storms but it seemed semi reliable. WP is roughly N 34 41.453 W 112 06.117  222. A few snaps from the ride here http://upsideout.blogspot.com/2011/08/mingus.html
Sadly other obligations have filtered their way into my life so i'll be arm-chairng this one. Have fun out there.

Hoping to make it out. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Did a little Mingus exploring this weekend. Didn't find the spigot at the top but I did find a small lake. Makes things a little easier for that section. Also found a little spigot on the "bypass route" that was running.

Bummer Andy. Good to meet you and yea, I saw the fed guy with the automatic weapon too. I was beginning to wonder if that and the chupacabra I saw were real.

I'm out as well. Beat by the sun and unable to get rid of cramps. Pulled out at the lake and Marshall was driving by and he was kind enough to give me a lift to Superior. Keep at it Max, it was good riding with you.

In for the 300. Leaving Picketpost Thu afternoon and getting a ride to PCL and spending Thu night there. Might have room for one or two more if yer Thu is flexible.

Just the 300 for me this year but I would like to see it stay on the east side of the Santa Ritas and I'd trade that for Ripsey and such.

Did anyone ever hear from Matt? Hope all ended well.

by cows. Sure it slowed folks a bit. We saw
Mattew at buddah beach an hour or so ago
and he was in good spirits. Go matt!

I'm time constrained this year but I'll be out and about and may camp out with you guys the 1st night.

Seems that more than a few people didn't get their Spots into tracking mode. Wonder were they are in the mix and if Scott is a far out as he looks. Seems he may not have even slowed down thru Patagonia. It'll be interesting to see how late folks go.
