Brought back lots of great memories, thanks for that. Can't wait to move back to Az and do this one again. And also, aren't those last couple miles of single track just awesome?

Anyone know if the Trans north Georgia group start is happening this year? Just moved to Georgia and I'm antsy to go do some bikepacking. If anyone knows of any other ultras or good 24 hour races in Georgia or Alabama let me know I'd like to get out on the bike in my new backyard.

Foster,
Do you have a Colorado Trail Databook?
I have a 4th edition I can bring you if you want it. It just doesn't have the bicycle detours.

Found it on my computer, it was hidden and named something incorrect. Thanks man.

Anyone have a spreadsheet with the water and resupply mileages from Durango to Denver? I can't find the one I made on my computer or the one I got from the Colorado trail website last year. It would be a lot of help. Thanks, Eric

A day on the divide, no matter how terrible is always better than a day at work. Yes I miss the divide and I can't wait to do it again. Its difficult coming back to reality...except that I'm leaving reality once again on my way to Durango for the CTR right now!

They always say this for a week or so after the race Ever heard the saying "never say never" He may never be back, but many people that say that usually end up coming back.

Went with the Geax AKA TNT 2.2 in the rear and the Conti X-King 2.4 UST in the front. Good grippy setup for all the steep climbs and descents. They should hold up the entire ride.

I know people use the aka on the rear and the x-king is good front or rear. I like the maxxis ikons front and rear
Thanks man, that's all I needed to know. See ya at the start. actually one more thing...is a 2.4 in the front a good idea? Just wondering how the decants are and if having a little more tire would be better for fast speeds.

What is the terrain like on the CTR? Choosing tires right now and I am wondering is something like the conti x-king or the geax aka would be enough for the climbs? Curious what others are running.

I basically read through most of what was commented on about me. Honestly I had good intentions and at the time really didn't see anything wrong with what I did especially since it was prerace and only saline. What bugs me the most is that I'm out here riding my ass off self supported and there are numerous comments from people that are sitting on their couch speculating about what kind of person I am based on one thing. Maybe you should get to know me first? Unfortunately I heard about this discussion during my ride which has shut me down mentally, so yes most of the comments on here have made me feel like a shitty person, but not all of them.
I also got two text messages yesterday in Rawlins from an unknown number tell me that I should drop out of the race and that I'm a mother fucking cheater. If being an ass to me makes you feel good about yourself I'm happy for you. An apology on this forum would be nice though. If not that's fine.
You'll be happy to know I am completely dehydrated and drinking water and Gatorade everyday. I'm hoping I can eventually forget about all this so I can enjoy my time on the divide instead of wondering every mile how many people are judging me on this forum; as if riding alone isn't hard enough. I may or may not get back on route tomorrow, either way my spot will be off for the rest of my ride, I'm tired of the speculation. I will send my gpx file to matthew lee at the end of the ride.
I don't have anything else to say so don't bother asking me anything, I'm trying to move on and enjoy my ride. Sorry for any problemsy actions may have caused. Enjoy tracking everyone else.

Foster, I don't have a file but I would be happy to ride with guys to Cochrane. You'll get the cool local route that way, from there it's just follow the 1A. Let me know when you want leave, Cadence is ideal location to meet. Craig.
Ya, we were planning on heading out to Cochrane to ride on the Bow Valley trail. Send me an email with your phone number. I'll text you when we get there probably sometime Tuesday morning. Is it pretty easy to navigate Calgary on a bike to get the Cochrane, what is the best way to get there? eric.foster.1988@gmail.comEric

Is anyone riding from Calgary to Banff on June 11th (Tuesday)? I get into Calgary late on June 10th (hopefully stealth camping in the airport) and plan on riding to Banff on Tuesday. Would love some company if anyone is riding to Banff that day.
Me and Robin Scwartz get into Calgary on the 10th at around 5pm. We'll be putting out bikes together at the airport that evening then probably ride somewhere and camp or crash at the airport. We'll be heading out sometime in to morning, you're welcome to join us. -Eric

If I'm reading the NWS map correctly, I see recent (24h) snowfall in ID, WY, and CO, and very slow melt up in Canada (although it is picking up).
If anyone has any on-the-ground route beta about snow depth and snow quality (postholing into slush puddles?), I'm sure many of us would love to hear.
I fully expected some snow up until about Whitefish, but was hoping that would be about the end. Any veterans care to guess what the trail will look like two weeks from now?
Check out the site. It gives comparison to last years snow levels. Generally lower than last years snowpack. http://www.mt.nrcs.usda.gov/snow/data/comparison.html
