Looking forward to meeting everyone in Banff. We're in Vancouver. Visiting friends and heading toward town. Getting excited now and just want to get started.

I listened to the Podcast yesterday morning.... really made me want to get to Canada and get started. Go Fixie Dave! No. 6 is a charm!! Joe.... thanks in advance. I've listened to the podcasts for years and it's most of what made me want to do the TDR in the first place. Thanks for all the years of hard work too.

Mine is my wife and I doing things we love to do. Sometimes it's adventures, there's normally outdoor photos & often bikes and sometimes just life.

If you go there you'll end up on my Flickr page which might be more interesting from a visual perspective. Here's the link anyway. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wunnspeed/

I am going to drive up to Banff from Gunnison, CO a couple of days early. My parents will pick up their car as my Bro is in MT and they want to see him... Anyway I have room for a bike/riders in a Honda CRV to share gas $. It is about the same distance going up the front range or through Salt Lake (I'd rather go that way). Let me know. And I wasn't going to stop much to get there faster....

Sounds familiar. I/we (wife and I) have to be in Seattle in late May anyway and then we'll drive up from there. My wife is heading to MT for a family reunion afterward. After that... it's all up to me where I finish and how I get back to Seattle as well as when. Ugh! In any case, I keep forgetting that I need to make hostel or hotel reservations for us. Hmmm. At least this way, I don't have to worry, much about what to do with a bike box and such. It'll stay with the inlaws in Seattle.

Like JReeves mentioned... keep it simple and be prepared to make this one as your first and if it's usable in the end, you'll probably end up wanting to make changes on v2.0. Spend some time either yourself or with your sewing friends/family thinking about the construction process. Unfortunately, doing one thing in the wrong order can cause a long "ripout" session or basic headaches making something work.

When done though, it's amazingly rewarding.

I haven't, yet, taken off the coil as I haven't found a way that doesn't take forever to do. However, I do put the slider first, figure out how long I want the zipper and sew across a few times to make sure it's not going to come apart. I then sew on the zipper garages on each end and then the side pieces which then get sewn to the sides and the end. Comes out kind of tidy. In fact, working on one at the moment.

Anyone know of Euro sources for same other than Extremfabric? They usually have DP fabric but it's pretty expensive. Unfortunately, I think that they're the only source for VX-21 or 42.

Thanks..

I just sent an email to the ACA in the last couple of weeks and the email I got back told me that they'd send it if I bought one of a selection of items that I either already had or didn't want/need. Therefore, I seem to be SOL. I wasn't given the option of a donation for same. You results may vary.

Interesting that I wasn't referred to that page (if I was I didn't understand the Narrative idea). Hmmmm, maybe now I'll buy it. Should we suggest a name change from Narrative (a small story) to Cue (something that prompts you to do something)?

Hey redheeler.... do you have them in digital form? If so, would it be possible to shoot them over to me if I PM'd you my email?

Nice info. guys. I hadn't even thought of cue sheets until someone mentioned it on the TDR thread. I'll try getting ahold of ACA and see what I can get. Thanks.

I'm doing o.k. I'm in the midst of making my first frame bag. We'll see how that holds up during training.

115  Forums / Question and Answer / Re: Mounting a Tubus Disco to a Singular Swift on: November 12, 2010, 01:15:28 AM
Thanks Boddun. I wish that the shims were the problem. Those, I have. They make everything fit over the Ritchey drop outs and around the brake. The real problem is when I mount it to the QR the stabilizer mounts rub the tire and the rods to the seat stays are too short.

I am tempted to try longer rods and the extender kit for the drop out's. However, if someone knows if it will or won't help, I can avoid getting upset.

I might just opt for another rack though.
116  Forums / Question and Answer / Mounting a Tubus Disco to a Singular Swift on: November 11, 2010, 01:51:45 PM
Hey gang... my first post here.

I have, seemingly wrongly, been informed that a Tubus Disco rack will fit on a Singular Swift. From various website, catalogs, etc. I've seen that it fit 26" & 28" (German for 29'ers) so I bought one because it was supposed to work well with disc brakes. Now, after too much time fiddling and received a rather snotty email from Tubus that the Disco only fits 26" bikes. Has anyone managed to make it work or did I actually blow 75+ Euros on a worthless rack because of false info.?  BangHead

Thanks for anything you can give me.

Very cool! My wife and I are looking at doing the Iron Curtain trail in pieces from the top of Finland to the Med. Ocean. It's a long way and we'll be doing some local expermental trips from our home in Munich. Thanks for the inspiration.

How did you choose your route? From the pics, it looks like you did it mostly off-road. I'm jealous as my wife isn't much of a mountain biker but she is a hell of a roadie. Therefore, at most it'll be dirt/gravel (Schotterweg) for us.
