Isn't the border open right now? I understand that could change though.  Does the US require a rapid test within 24 hours of entry when you re-enter by vehicle / bike as it does with air travel?

Is the gpx file on Toby's site current?

Neil is on Oracle Ridge now.   Kaitlyn is showing still climbing, but I bet the spot has not updated yet.

What are pace Kaitlyn and Neil are running for 300?  They are both superfast.

They are pretty close to Kurt's record.  I think he went through Summerhaven around 6AM on his record pace.

What is the start date this year?

Hey.  Anyone that has run water bottles on their fork legs on this route, was it a big problem in any spots?  I'm wondering if it would just be a huge pain on Oracle Ridge with all the bushwacking.

Thanks

Anyone running a shuttle from Superior to the 300 start with room?
7  Forums / Ultra Racing / Ride share to start/ Anyone going through Moab? on: February 19, 2017, 07:59:58 PM
Just wanted to see if anyone was coming through Moab on the way to Tucson.  I would like to head down Thursday before the race.  I can split gas and other expenses.  Happy to use my car also.  Can provide a place to crash in Moab on Wednesday night as well.
Please PM me if you're interested.

Also, any room available with folks from Tucson or around there to the start on the morning of?  Thanks
8  Forums / Ultra Racing / Re: AZTR start date - Fri, Thur, Weds? on: October 21, 2016, 05:13:03 AM
I like Friday.  The Friday start date is a big part of why I can do this race.  Minimal time off work.  With travel on each end it is still 3 days off work.

Thanks Kiwidave!  I didn't know about the rules change.  I could have easily been relegated for not tipping and not even known!  I wonder if that applies to buffets?

There are really no changes here from the original rules dating from the GDR.  Basically just do it yourself. I guess they are just going into more detail about what that actually means.  I've heard they get hate mail each year from relegated riders that blatantly and sometimes admittedly break rules.  The tipping thing is funny though.
10  Forums / Ultra Racing / GPS / Track loading question on: April 06, 2016, 07:32:49 PM
I'm using Basecamp on a Mac and E trex 20
loading AZT 300 track

Could someone give me advice on the best settings / method for loading the track.

So far I have done Preferences->Transfer ->check the Simplify Tracks by Removing Intermediate Points->check 500 pt ->transfer

Seems to work, but wondering if the track with only 500 pts is too few and will be a problem.  The overall track length is 240 miles according to the gps.

Thanks

What is the start date and time for the race this year?
12  Forums / Ultra Racing / Re: CTR advice on: December 28, 2013, 03:42:28 PM
Pretty stoney... A bit late, but it coincides with the full moon.  We could certainly change it if there is an overwhelming consensus here though.

Well, never going to make everyone happy.  If it comes to a vote, I would vote a week earlier, but that's for totally selfish reasons.

Not sure if this will help many people, but I combined the elevation profiles of the differnt sections from the CTR website into a PDF so you can print them out on 2 sheets of paper

There's a link on this post

Hey.

I think I’m going to do a one-way rental from the finish back to my car in Durango.  In case any of you find yourself at the finish around the same time as me and need to go back that way, find me and we can split the cost.  My phone is 541 390 9629

I saw that, but I don't see results.  Maybe they are there and I'm just not finding them.

Anyway, I guess the Eddie guy won. Seeet.  Curious about 2nd and 3rd.

Has anyone seen or heard anything from Fred Wilkinson on the trail?  He doesn't have a spot and I'm just trying to figure out when he might be coming in.
.

Fred pulled out at Kelvin
