Loved Nick's call-in.  Sounded like the real deal, spokes gone, kindness of strangers, no one acting as his cheerleader except the voice in his head saying, "Keep going!"  I wish you the best of luck from now on, Nick!

No, no, no!  Don't shine bright lights on the CTR!  The minute it goes Leadville is the minute I stop watching---and caring.  Keep it underground, keep it esoteric.  Right now it belongs to us.  Don't hand it over to the big buck hucksters.  If you do, it'll become just another X Games and the praise won by the winners won't be praise worth having.

Wonderful, wonderful trip reports, each as different as the racer who wrote them.  Thank you so much for posting the Apple video.  I've never met him, nor am I likely to, but it's great to have an image of him to go along with all the great things I've heard about him.  Anyone snap a pic of Pat at the Stagecoach Saloon?

Really enjoying the trip reports and the photos.  The color of the water in Dan's sink tells a tale.  Well done all finishers, scratchers, and those out there, still battling.  Just keep moving!

The riders out there inspired me to buy a bike this year.  My CTR is a Cozy Tame Race, but it's more fun than a bucket of monkeys.  Thanks for the motivation!

No ESPN!  No hovering helicopters!  No photo motos or team cars!  The CTR is pure class, no crass.  Can't wait for those blue dots to start dancing.  Good luck to all.

Even though I'm not a biker and I don't know anyone in the race, I've been absolutely captivated by this year's CRT.  I check this site several times a day---thank you for creating it!---and cheer for each and every one of these stupendous athlete-adventurers, whether they finish or not. The replay video is fantastic and I love the photos, but the human drama is what keeps me coming back. I can't wait to see what happens next!
